A self-initiated project to design a book cover and matching bookmark in honour of the one and only Anne Shirley. I decided to illustrate and hand letter it in quite a “storybook” whimsical way. A little bit retro, a little bit fairytale…. a little bit country, a little bit rock n’ roll 😉
I really wanted to embrace that vibrant Canadian Autumn (Fall) colour palette though, and bring in lots of texture to stop it feeling too graphic and cold!
